It is therefore a gift when projects allow us the opportunity to meet the organisations we work for in person. Last week a member of our Organisation Development Support (ODS) team travelled to Chiang Mai as part of our data collection activities for the MTR of Women4Biodiversity, an organisation devoted to advocating for women’s rights to biodiversity conservation.
The site visit included a sensemaking session with the Women4Biodiversity team to discuss emerging insights from our initial analysis and several discussions with the Karen Environmental and Social Action Network (KESAN), one of their six global partners implementing projects at the local level. Women4Biodiversity is supporting KESAN’s Women Research Team in conducting a species mapping of their territory in Myanmar to enable its conservation and restoration by the Karen community.
We hope this MTR helps Women4Biodiversity learn and reflect in order to reach its full potential in the very exciting year and a half to come!
