We were commissioned by Coordination Sud – the national platform for solidarity organisations in France – to conduct a comparative study on the “right of initiative” of CSOs in Europe. We identified the public funding mechanisms and good practices promoting the autonomy of CSOs in France, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany as well as at the European level.
